ADMISSION CRITERIA

All the children of district Almora can apply for RGNV almora provided the child must have studied and passed class 5th from a recognized school of the concerned district.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Admission to the RGNV is done through the entrance examination conducted by  the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education, Ramnagar Nainital for admission to class 6 only.  Admission notification for all the Navodaya Vidyalayas of Uttarakhand is published in the leading local dailys normally in the month of September every year.  Forms for the RGNV entrance examination can be taken either from the BEO offices or from the school itself.  The entrance examination is conducted in the month of february and a merit list of successful students is placed at the school notice board.  Successful students are followed up by post for admission formalities and new session begins by the month of April.
